Free Web Design Services Are Subject To The Following Terms And Conditions
Introduction
I am a strong believer in benefits provided by charitable work. It goes a long way to providing assistance to less fortunate individuals of our human race where ever they may be in our world. A web presence is a very effective medium to gain recognition of benevolent works performed by individuals or organizations. Fundraising activities are greatly enhanced by an online presence. Free web design for Canadian registered charities is my supporting contribution to good works performed by those individuals or organizations. I am offering an opportunity to benefit from an Internet presence without an accompanying financial burden.

Ataraxis reserves the right to decline any free web design and development request received from non-profit organizations without justification.
Minimum Requirements For Any Free Web Design Requests From A Charity Will Be Subject To These Following Terms And Conditions:
- Only Canadian registered charities in good standing with our Canada Revenue Agency are eligible to apply for free IT project management or development consideration.
- A requesting non-profit organization status will be verified through the CRA Canadian Registered Charities Database.
- A requesting non-profit organization must be in good standing and their activities in compliance with CRA guidelines. It will be verified through public records in a CRA charity database.
- Subject to he above “activities and compliance” any charity that is found to be listed as; CANADIAN REVOKED CHARITIES, REVOKED CHARITIES FOR CAUSE, REVOKED CHARITIES VOLUNTARY, REVOKED CHARITIES FAILURE TO FILE, as well as ANNULLED, PENALIZED, or SUSPENDED CHARITIES will not be considered as a suitable candidate to benefit from my free developer services.
- Without limitation or justification, Ataraxis reserves right to apply additional terms or conditions not listed here as determined on a case-by-case basis. This is a voluntary service.
This Free Web Design Offer It Is Defined As Follows:
- Free web design includes developing hyper text markup language (html) pages to convey mandates and activities of Canadian registered charities to the general public via an Internet domain.
- Free web design services offered do not include Intranet pages developed to be used exclusively by internal staff.
- All copywritten material must be provided by a charity. Equally as well it must not violate any copywriting infringements (it can be verified).
- All copywritten material provided may be subject to editing optimization strategies (subject to your review approval) to ensure presented text performs well in query results. It will be accomplished by applying search engine optimization strategies as practiced in my normal work course-of-action.
- Any images provided by your charity must be declared to be free of copyright or trademark infringement. If you require suitable images to be provided they will be purchased from a stock photo service. Your charity will incur costs of all such images.
To Qualify For Free Web Design Developer Services Consideration Canadian Registered Charities Must Agree To These Following Terms And Conditions:
- All copywritten material to appear on a domain must be provided by your charity.
- All images/photos to appear on a domain must be provided by your charity except as otherwise indicated in preceding paragraphs.
- You will not display any commercial advertisements on any page unless they are for free public service announcements or they are discrete displays of sponsors or donors who provide direct financial or gifts-in-kind assistance supporting your organization activities or mandate.
- A charity will incur all costs associated with the initial, as well as ongoing yearly domain name registration process.
- Your charity agrees to have a completed project hosted with Ataraxis on our managed VPS host server as governed by a managed VPS host agreement for a minimum period of one year. This period will begin when a completed project goes live. It will be subject to hosting fees as indicated in the schedule of managed VPS host pricing. Free VPS host services are not applicable to free website designs as indicated in the agreement.
- A charity will be entitled to a maximum of twenty (20) pages of consistent colour and layout developed without charge. Additional pages may be requested but will be subject to regular IT project costs as outlined in my schedule of IT project development cost.
- Your charity agrees to placing a discrete link back to AtaraxisWebDesign.com identifying it as the IT project developer. A link will be placed in footer sections of each page. Its purpose is to help other non-profit organizations to locate this company if they require similar IT project development assistance.
- An initial request from a charity must be submitted via email while clearly stating expected requirements as well as an outline of mandates. Information provided must also include legal names of Canadian registered charities, charitable registration number, contact information including email address as well as a phone number for an authoritative person within an organization. That person must be authorized to approve work as it is completed to ensure timely completion of a project.
- Please, respectfully I ask that you understand that as a single person IT project management and developer operation potentially performing charitable work for your organization I cannot answer questions that have already been provided throughout this site. Today's increasingly litigious society of ours leaves a bad after-taste. My purpose is not to complicate your own situation in as much as I don't want my own day to day existence to be unnecessarily complicated either. Terms and conditions outlined on this page are subject to revision without prior notification. Revision dates will be indicated at the top of this page. It is the responsibility of a client to keep up-to-date with changes or revisions to policies. Therefore, as far as the extent of legalities is concerned I am keeping it as simple as possible as outlined in the next paragraph.
Upon acceptance of designing as well as developing an Internet presence on behalf of your non-profit organization you understand that Ataraxis provides no guarantees of domain performance. This primarily addresses, but is not limited to, achieving high placement in search engine results or of gaining wide exposure of your online presence. An equal amount of effort will be dedicated to applying “development best practices” to all non-paid IT project development work as would be dedicated to other projects of paying clients. However, none-the-less, post-development limitation of responsibility to your organization will be governed by indicators outlined in my previously mentioned post-development managed VPS host agreement.
